Which level should I reach for Borderlands 2 DLC?
Borderlands 2 DLC campaign difficulty will vary depending on your level and what mode you’re using – Normal mode (TVHM) or True Vault Hunter Mode.
Normal mode will have levels between 15-30, 30-35, or 30-38. It all depends on the story campaign pack that you are looking at. TVHM mode enemies can reach level 50 for all but one pack.
It will remain at the same level once you have started a BL2 DLC. It is important to decide if you want to complete the DLC.
The game’s level requirements are designed to help you keep up with the main storyline and understand what is happening.
Although not required, it is recommended that you complete the main game before proceeding to the DLC. It’s also best to play them in their original order.
What is the duration of Borderlands 2 DLC?
It depends. You can expect to pay for around 20 hours more if you do the story missions in the campaign packs.
You’ll get 25 hours more Borderlands 2 glory if you add an hour for each of 5 headhunter packs. You can spend up to 12 hours on one Borderlands 2 DLC pack if you’re a complete completionist and want to get the most out of the packs.
You can also have some fun with gibbed codes and a Save editor after you’re done with the DLCs for BL2.
Where can I find Borderlands 2 DLC?
All Borderlands 2 DLC can be purchased from the respective Xbox and Playstation stores. If you aren’t in a rush, keep an eye on sales.

The Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition bundle is available on Steam. This will allow you to get 7 of 8 DLC packs all at once, and also save you a lot of money.
It’s cheaper than buying them all separately, even if you already own the base game. It’s the latest DLC, commander Lilith & Fight For Sanctuary that must be purchased separately.
We recommend that you get the free UltraHD texture pack if you have the right setup. Mmmmmm. Remaster your BL2 4K free of charge

Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty was the first DLC pack to be released. It came out way back on October 16, 2012, a month after the game’s official launch.
The DLC takes an interesting detour away from Borderlands 2 with a pirate theme… somehow without any water in the game. As the name implies, the DLC revolves around Captain Scarlett.
A backstabbing pirate that’s on the hunt for a treasure to which she has only half the pieces needed to find it. That’s where you, as a Vault Hunter, come in
After you finish the” My First Gun” mission in Windshear Waste, Oasis, the starting location of the DLC, will show up for fast travel. There are four-story missions and six optional missions.
Three new enemy types are also added: pirates, stalkers, and sandworms. You’re looking at about 4 hours for the main story and another 3 hours for the side missions. Altogether you’re looking at 12 hours of absolutely everything the DLC has to offer.

Once you have completed the “My First Gun” mission, Oasis will be available for fast travel. There are six optional missions as well as four-story missions.

There are 40 missions total, including 15 story missions and 25 side missions. There are many new enemies, as well as bosses. The main campaign takes about three hours to complete.

The fourth story DLC pack is Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. This came out on June 25, 2013, around 10 months after the official release of Borderlands 2.
We go full medieval fantasy this time. Dragons, dwarves, golems, knights, orcs, pixies, and wizards are all invited.
It’s been described as a “game within a game” and with good reason. Tiny Tina acts as the Bunker Master in “Bunkers and Badasses”, a homage to the classic tabletop role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons.
As you progress through the DLC she will alter the world according to how the story flows, changing where locations and which characters and bosses show up.
Another neat feature is the Dice Chest which has up to two twenty-sided dice that you can roll. The higher the roll the rarer the loot inside. The first roll is free for the second roll you have to fork up 5 Eridium rolls.
To begin the DLC, open up your map and go to the Unassuming Docks by fast travel.
There are 31 missions in total with four of them being story missions. Sounds like a small amount, but you’ll be getting 6 hours out of them. Around 9 hours for all the missions. 11 hours for absolutely everything possible.

You can now explore Aegrus, a new continent that is open for you to find a Hyperion vessel with tons of loot. It is filled with tons of interesting enemies and has a safari-themed swamp feel.
To fully grasp the story, you should finish Borderlands 2’s main story before moving on to this one. However, this is not necessary.
There are five main missions for the DLC and 12 optional ones.
You’ll also get a brand new vehicle, a fan boat. You can choose from corrosive, flamethrower or shock launchers. You can also customize your ride with any of the 69 available skins.
This DLC allows you to sink for approximately 4 hours on the main missions and 7 on the side missions. You can also get around 9 hours to do everything possible.

This time, we go all medieval fantasy. All are welcome to join us: wizards, dragons, dwarves and knights.
It has been called a “game within the game”, and that is a good description. Tiny Tina is the Bunker Master in “Bunkers & Badasses”, an homage to the tabletop role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons.
As you go through the DLC, she will change the world according to the story flow. This will affect where places are located and who the bosses are.

Open your map and travel to the Unassuming Docks via fast travel.

Commander Lilith and The Fight For Sanctuary is the last DLC pack for Borderlands 2. It was released on June 9, 2019, almost six years after the previous DLC that hyped up Borderlands 3.
Colonel Hector, an ex-leader of a Dahl battalion has taken control of the city of Sanctuary and gained the Vault Key. He wants to release gas and all of Pandora. You have to stop him.
This DLC allows you to create a new character, which is instantly boosted up to level 30. This allows you to immediately play the DLC, as well as all other characters if you don’t have level 30 yet. This also raises the overall level cap up to 80.
This DLC is the only one that’s not available for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. It is also unique in that it can be used in both TVHM and normal mode.
A new weapon rarity level has been introduced for the first-ever time. You can now drool over Pearlescent. A new Effervescent rarity is now available for us to admire.
Initial was offered free. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. There are 20 missions. There are 13 side missions and 7 story ones.
